From Ferris Wheel to Eiffel Tower, glass domed halls to ancient wonders, nothing brings citizens of the world together to show off their best and brightest like an Exhibition. Often alternatively called Expositions or World's Fairs, these events have created shockwaves of significant cultural and economic importance due to the many architectural and technical wonders, art, music, and even food created specifically to be exhibited therein. Nor are they without scandal, danger, and mystery.
The lovely Miss Breezy Carver will open our discussion of exhibitions by sharing a tale of murder, scandal, and intrigue at the 1893 Chicago Exhibition. The talented Mr. Aeolus Cleanslate then describes for our rapt audience early exhibitions and how they led to the modern Olympics. This is a wonderful way to open the fall Salon season, and we look forward to sharing it with you on September 20 at 2pm slt at Aether Salon.

"See You in September"

What? Miss Viv and Miss Sera singing lead on an old summer standard by the Tempos? While the idea of us wearing shades and belting out tunes does have merit, that is not the purpose of this post.

The Aether Salon is taking a summer break but we want to give you advance notice of our September salon: Exhibitionism!

Exhibitions at the centennials and world's fairs have long captured the public imagination as well as the spirit of the age. Starring Miss Breezy Carver and Mr. Aeolus Cleanslate, we are in for yet another entertaining and informative event. History! Scandal! Politics! Advances in science and industry!

Please join us on September 20 at 2 pm slt.
